pennsylvania beta chapter
About our chapter:
The Pennsylvania Beta Colony was formed in the fall of 2013 at Pennsylvania State University’s Altoona Campus. After returning from a 2012-13 deployment to Afghanistan, several of PA-Beta’s founders attended an event in State College where they happened to run into PA-Alpha’s President. After gathering information, they thought that starting an Omega Delta Sigma Chapter in Altoona, would vastly improve the quality of college life for transitioning and currently serving military members. Being prior Penn State Altoona students themselves, it was apparent that veterans needed more support, and it was through this veterans organization that we believed we could make a difference. We were welcomed by the campus and recruiting efforts were underway in the spring of 2014. By the end of fall semester 2014, the brothers of PA-Beta colony earned our Charter, to become the PA-Beta Chapter of Omega Delta Sigma. We continue to use our six purposes as the foundation of how our chapter conducts itself, to exemplify our fraternal motto, “Professionals, Scholars, Warriors.”
